Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a premier, nationally recognized law firm located in the heart of downtown San Diego. The firm is seeking an experienced Legal Billing & Collections Specialist to join its growing team. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of legal billing experience, strong e-billing exposure, and prior experience working in mid- to large-sized law firms. This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote), a competitive salary, and a robust benefits package.

Legal Billing & Collections Specialist Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full billing cycle: generate, review, and edit proformas/pre-bills, process write-offs, time/cost transfers, and finalize client invoices per attorney instructions and billing guidelines.
  • Prepare, submit, and track electronic invoices through client e-billing portals, ensuring compliance with OCGs, UTBMS codes, LEDES formats, budgets, rates, and accrual requirements.
  • Monitor e-billing portals for rejections or disputes and resolve issues proactively while liaising with attorneys, clients, and platform administrators.
  • Handle payment posting, research allocations, and manage A/R follow-up on past-due accounts; maintain accurate billing records, documentation, and audit support.
  • Provide cross-office billing support, generate periodic billing reports, and assist with month-end, year-end, audits, and firmwide billing projects.
